New Equipment --Thanks to the Howard County Community Foundation Grant

On June 5, 2008, the Cresco Public Library was awarded one of Howard County's Community Foundation Grants.  The monetary award helped the library purchase an Elmo and projector.

New Equipment --Thanks to the Howard Community Foundation Grant

This equipment will allow the library to show beautifully, illustrated picture books on a screen so that everyone attending Story Hour or the Summer Reading Program can see easily.  This equipment will motivate our young people and aid in their acquisition of reading skills.  With the emphasis on early literacy, the library feels privileged to be on the cutting edge of a technology that will help our future readers develop the necessary pre-reading skills.  This equipment will also be used by community and service organizations to help make presentations. The Elmo and projector can be used by anyone in the community who would like to use it.  We welcome people to visit us at the library and check out the new equipment.
