Welcome to the Cresco Public Library’s Children Department.  It is located in the basement.

Ava new library card

Children must be 6 years old or older to receive their very own library card! A parent or legal guardian must come with the child to the library to co-sign the orange registration card. Once children have their own library card, they may check out books, movies, and magazines, or use our patron computers with Internet access. Children playing computer games are allotted a two-hour time limit on our computers each day.

Programs and services especially for children are listed along the left margin. Cresco Public Library's Children's Story Hour for preschool-age children takes place Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. from February-May 2017.
