"Remembering the Apron" at Cresco Public Library Feb. 11 at 1:30 PM
On February 11th at 1:30 PM, Sheila Craig will give her presentation "Remembering the Apron." It takes a nostalgic look at the apron in an interactive, hands-on program which will look at the fabrics and trims, the styles and uses of aprons - even men's examples. Sheila will bring approximately 100 of her 400-strong collection for patrons to see. Did anyone in your family wear an apron? Was it every day or for special occasions? Come and reminisce about your families’ connection to an apron! Sheila is a retired University of Minnesota Extension Educator from Preston, Minnesota, originally from Decorah, Iowa. She has been doing ‘apron programs’ for almost 15 years for libraries, church groups, and care facilities as well as the Iowa State ‘Women Around Ag Conference’ in Clear Lake, Iowa. This program is free and open to everyone. Any questions, please call the library at 563-547-2540.
Starting January 6th and ending April 4th is READO! Cresco Public Library's BINGO with books!
