Join Shana Stuart, Director of the Carnegie Libraries in Iowa Project (CLIP) at the University of Iowa for a program about Iowa's Carnegie libraries on the 100-year anniversary of Andrew Carnegie's death. Andrew Carnegie, a steel baron-turned philanthropist, funded the construction of many of America's public libraries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including Cresco Public Library, built in 1914. Cresco Public Library is one of just 48 Carnegie libraries in the state of Iowa that is still used as a public library.
