March is Women's History Month at Cresco Public Library. Stop by and browse our special interactive display: You may check out any of the movies and books shown on the display. You may take a Women's History Month keepsake bookmark. Make sure you take a Women's History Month coloring sheet or two for the kids; if you bring the sheets back to the library, we will display your child's artwork.

This display includes many interactive features: View the United States Women's History Timeline to see the advances women have made throughout the years. You may also be interested in browsing a list of 'Things Women Could Not Do in the 20th Century'. Read quotations by famous women in our 'Who Said It?' game. Lift the paper to find out who said each quotation. The display includes numerous historic photos of the Women's Suffrage Movement. During the month of March, look above the fireplace mantel to view a portrait of Cresco Public Library's first library director, Abbie Converse (1914-1948).
