About the Library Director

Meet Cynthia Kay, Cresco Public Library Director

Cynthia B. Kay is a graduate of the University of Arizona, Tucson, with a degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Public Management. She had been working at the New Hampton Public Library as a library assistant since December of 2007, receiving her State of Iowa Public library certification in 2009.

Cynthia is originally from Arizona.  She has been living on a farm in Lawler with her boyfriend, Rene (pronounced rainy), since September 2005.  She takes care of the cats, dogs and chickens, gardens and helps with the farming. 

Cynthia is always available to visit with patrons regarding the Cresco Public Library.  If there are title suggestions, programming ideas, if you would like to be a volunteer, or schedule a time to use our meeting room, feel free to stop by her office (next to the non-fiction) or email her with your ideas, questions or concerns. 

Look for a library column by Cynthia in the Cresco Times Plain Dealer newspaper every two weeks.
