Meeting Room

The Cresco Public Library has a multi-purpose Program Room.  The Program Room is located in the basement and is handicapped accessible by an elevator inside the South door.  The purpose of this room is to serve as a general meeting room that provides space for library programs and special events, to fulfill the library’s role as a community center, where the public can attend informational, educational, civic, and cultural events.  Use of the room for library programs will take precedence over use of the room by the public.  This room will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis to non-profit groups at no charge.  The Program Room is not available for the benefit of private individuals or for profit-making organizations.

Facility description:

    1.      the Program Room is 30’ X 18’

    2.      there is a fifty person maximum seating capacity

    3.      there are nine (9) rectangular tables

    4.      the Program Room is handicapped accessible

    5.      restrooms and an emergency exit are nearby

    6.      there is an attached kitchenette which has a

            a.       dorm-sized refrigerator

            b.      30 cup coffee maker

            c.       microwave

The Program Room has a TV monitor, VCR player, Elmo with projector, and white board.  Groups interested in using the Program Room can fill out the Meeting Room Request Form.
