Silent Auction New

The Cresco Public Library 25th annual Silent Auction Fundraiser is now open. Stop by the library during regular hours to browse the many beautiful and unique items displayed on the library's main floor. If you see something you like, ask for a bidding number at the front desk. Place your bids until Friday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. Following the silent auction, if you placed a winning bid, a Friend of the Cresco Public Library will call you. You may begin picking up your items AFTER the silent auction ends, starting on Monday, Oct. 28. All proceeds benefit Cresco Public Library programs. As always, thank you for your support and thank you to the Friends of the Cresco Public Library for organizing the Silent Auction each year.

Programs and Services for Adults

The Cresco Public Library is much more than a place to check out books.  We also have magazines, newspapers, movies, and audio-books.  Other services include 10 public computers, fax, copy machine, print magnifier, test proctoring, a program/meeting room, and a genealogy area with a microfilm reader/printer. Tax forms are available during tax season.

A variety of educational and entertaining programs for adults are scheduled each year.  The library hosts special events such as author visits and book signings.

Comfortable seating areas for reading, relaxing, and visiting with others are available.

You may want to check a site entitled, "Digital Librarian:  a librarian's choice of the best of the Web".  This site has a great many good links.  It is maintained by Margaret Vail, a librarian in Cortland, New York.

There are several folders of adult information along the left margin.  Click on those of interest to you.

Be sure to check out the 'Do Research' tab and the 'Subject Headings' for additional information.
