IA Library for the Blind

Cresco Public Library has resources for those who are partially sighted or completely blind. We have our own section of large print books and audio books as well as large print books on interlibrary loan from Decorah Public Library, Center Point Public Library and the Iowa Library for the Blind.

For those patrons with documented vision problems, the Iowa Library for the Blind offers additional services including digital readers with special cartridges loaded with books, magazines or newspapers; books in Braille; and training.  Patrons must fill out an application for services which can be obtained from the Cresco Public Library, downloaded from the link above or by contacting the Iowa Library for the Blind on their website.  They are also available by phone at 515-281-1323 or 800-362-2587, option 3, and by email.

Patrons can also speak to Rhonda at the Cresco Public Library via email or phone (563-547-2540).
